Step into the future in which humanity embraced the synergy of science and art. In a world that seems to use the organic to grow the superficial, you find yourself inside a bustling laboratory frozen in fashionable experiment. Lab techs are tinkering on their subject, her surface crawls with bright multicolor microscopic veins and vines sprouting over her features as if grown right on top of her.

Inspired by the intricate patterns and colorful palettes of microbial growth, “Under The Scope” explores the merging of microbiology with wearable design.

Blurring the lines between the creation of art & the creation of knowledge, we aim to challenge the traditional hierarchies of scientific value. Why are these academic methods and processes often seen as tools for discovery rather than that of aesthetic creation? Who gets to participate in science and for what purposes?
